Things in the Window

I always seem to find myself looking at small things sitting in the window or sill.
I like the back lit glass, since it always reflects the sun so well.
So here is a short series of recent window shots.

An old curved brick framed window with antiques looking out.

Back lit colored glass

A simple basket with stained window in the back ground.

Beauty is where you find it, large or small.

The Cat who came to Dinner

My cat "Bear" he recently acquired me as his chief food procuror. A little more than a year now since he moved in with his appetite. After he started sleeping on the couch I decided to get him shots and a pass from the County. He has always liked food from the first day, he loves milk and requires it with his meals. He loves people food, from salty snacks to cream cheese, the cream cheese thing was a surprise, I had some cheesecake and he climbed on me and tried to get the plate from me, I finally had to give him some on a separate plate to keep him happy. He also loves sour cream, butter and mayonnaise, if he had thumbs he would just open the fridge and take it, instead he stares and meow's until a plate arrives. Before you put food on the table you have to see where Bear is. Tonight I had some leftover BBQ from the Church, he really enjoyed it...sigh. Having Pizza Friday night, I am pretty sure Bear likes Pepperoni, I hope, since he knows where I sleep.

Here is a shot of Bear watching the sun set, he enjoys doing that.

This shot is Bear sleeping in the bushes on a nice warm day. He likes his naps.

Street Fair

Each year we have a large local street fair. In spite of the dip in temperatures it was well attended. Lots of local vendors, rides for the kids and some pretty good food.
I took a few shots of some of the action.
This brave soul was manning the dunking booth and not fairing to well.

Candy apples and cotton candy, get yours here!

These visitors created a stir since we were not sure where they were from.

Thanks for stopping in be sure and come back next week.

Chasing Trains

There has always been this feeling of awe when a train go's by and your standing close enough to reach out and touch it. It is awesome to feel the power of it.
I remember as a child going to the train station in West Texas to wait for my Grandmother to come in or to pick up a package shipped by the old Rail Way Express Agency. They were mostly steam back then and they blew the whistle and made a racket that would make you shudder.
I took a couple of shots recently of a freight train that comes through here very often.
 Hope you like them.

Loose Goose

This Canadian Goose was sitting in this parking lot when I drove in. Looks as if he was nesting among the semi trucks. But then he got up and wandered toward me. I guess he was looking for a ride back home or a hand out of food. Very amusing though. So I named the photograph 'Goose looking for a parking space".

I hope you got a laugh and enjoyed the photograph. Stop by next week.
